Back to Belmore has extended its sincere thanks to outgoing Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs Chair Lynne Anderson following her resignation from the club's board, and warmly welcomed the appointment of her successor, John Khoury.
Ms Anderson, along with fellow directors John Ballesty and Paul Dunn, officially stepped down this week after a period of significant transformation for the Bulldogs and their relationship with the Belmore community.
Back to Belmore President Luke Cevolani acknowledged Ms Anderson's role in rejuvenating the club's connection to Belmore Sports Ground.
"Lynne Anderson will be remembered as the Chair who recalibrated the relationship between the Bulldogs and Back to Belmore," Mr Cevolani said.
"Her tenure marked a turning point - one that embraced collaboration, transpaprency, and a renewed respect for the history and significance of Belmore."
Vice President Steven Cataldi praised the results of that renewed relationship, noting the record number of fans returning to Belmore Sports Ground.
"Under Lynne's leadership, crowd attendance at Belmore matches surpassed 100,000 across just nine games played since 2015," Mr Cataldi said.
"That's a remarkable achievement and a testament to her belief in the power of Belmore as more than just a suburban ground - it's the heartbeat of this community."
Patron Luke Brailey also extended his best wishes to Ms Anderson and welcomed the new Chair.
"We are extremely grateful to Lynne for her unwavering support and wish her all the very best in her future endeavours," Mr Brailey said.
"As for her successor, we offer our congratulations to John Khoury on his appointment and look forward to continuing the work Lynne so admirably began. The relationship between the club and Back to Belmore must remain strong - and that means having a seat at the table."
Mr Khoury's appointment marks a new chapter for the Bulldogs, and Back to Belmore stand ready to work constructively with the new Chair to ensure the momentum for Belmore's ongoing revitalisation is not only maintained but accelerated.
