Excitement is building across the local area as Belmore Sports Ground prepares to host another NRL showdown this weekend, with the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs set to take on the Gold Coast Titans.

The premiership match continues the Bulldogs' part-time return to their traditional home ground, with Belmore once again set to come alive as fans, families and locals gather to celebrate the enduring spirit of suburban rugby league.

Back to Belmore Patron Luke Brailey said the occasion is another important milestone in the campaign to keep Belmore at the heart of the game.

"When Belmore hosts a game, the entire community gets behind it," Mr Brailey said.

"From the cafes and eateries to the local shops, there's a buzz that's uniquely Belmore - and that's something worth preserving. There's a real buzz in the air. Belmore games are more than just sporting fixtures - they're a celebration of community, tradition and identity. You can feel the energy already building in the streets and among the supporters."

The fixture will be the seventh NRL premiership match played at Belmore Sports Ground since 2015, part of an ongoing community-driven effort to restore the historic venue to regular top-level action.
