Former President Luke Brailey has been appointed Patron of Back to Belmore Inc. in recognition of his services to the organisation.

Mr Brailey, who served as head of the governing body from its inception in 2005 until 2014 and remained as a consultant and advisor to the executive committee, was given the honour at Wednesday night's Annual General Meeting.

President Luke Cevolani said the executive committee had chosen Mr Brailey as they wanted someone who was committed to promoting the organisation's goals of safeguarding Belmore Sports Ground for future generations.
