Anticipation is building across the Canterbury-Bankstown district as Belmore Sports Ground prepares to host its eighth NRL premiership fixture since 2015, with the Bulldogs set to face the Canberra Raiders this Saturday.

The match marks another milestone in the ongoing revival of Belmore, with the local area once again embracing the energy, spirit and economic opportunity that accompanies every game played at the historic venue.

Back to Belmore Patron Luke Brailey said Belmore Sports Ground has drawn thousands of fans and delivered a significant boost to local trade, with cafes and eateries benefitting from the influx of game-day activity.

"Belmore games aren't just about footy," Mr Brailey said.

"They're about community pride, local jobs and keeping a vital part of our heritage alive. The economic and social ripple effect these matches create is something you simply don't get anywhere else. There's a real sense of excitement in the air. Every time the Bulldogs return to Belmore, it brings people together. This ground means something to our local community, and that connection has only grown stronger over the past few years."

Kick-off is scheduled for Saturday afternoon, with fans from across Sydney and beyond expected to descend on Belmore for what promises to be another special occasion in the iconic facility's modern renaissance.
