Brand role for Anwer

By Danielle Buckley

BACK to Belmore has confirmed Punchbowl's Hamza Anwer as the organisation's new brand ambassador.

The organisation, known as the leading advocate for the Belmore grounds, said 23-year-old Anwer (pictured), an NRL Rookie contestant, was an easy choice.

"Hamza has been a steadfast Back to Belmore volunteer for over seven years," Back to Belmore's Luke Brailey said.

"He has the innate ability to inspire others, especially young, aspiring athletes, to achieve their full potential."

The group continues to fight for funding for a multipurpose sporting facility at Belmore.

It has been three years since the Federal Government committed $4 million to the Sydney Multicultural Arts and Sports Precinct, but a formal funding submission has yet to be made to the State Government.

Mr Brailey said Back to Belmore would continue to work with the Bulldogs and other stakeholders to ensure the precinct was successful.
