29 March 2018

The Back to Belmore executive committee has moved swiftly to blacklist former Bulldogs board member Arthur Coorey, declaring him ineligible for endorsement by the organisation at future Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs board elections.

The decision-making body took the unprecedented step at last night's monthly committee meeting after a review of the conduct of Mr Coorey during the most recent Bulldogs club election campaign.

A committee spokesman said Mr Coorey, praised for his crucial role in securing funding for the upgrade of Belmore Sports Ground and endorsed by the executive committee for the Bulldogs board of directors in 2012 and 2018, had engaged in a pattern of conduct during the Bulldogs board election campaign last month that was counter to the principles that Back to Belmore was founded upon.
