Sydney FC overturned a 1-0 deficit to score a crucial 4-2 win over home side Sydney Olympic FC at Belmore Sports Ground on Wednesday night in an FFA Cup Round of 32 blockbuster.
Off the back of a 0-0 draw against Western Sydney Wanderers FC on Saturday night, the visitors didn't disappoint the crowd of 3,217, dishing up an entertaining night of football.
Back to Belmore Patron Luke Brailey said it was a delight to see the fixture being staged at Belmore Sports Ground after the easing of COVID-19 restrictions.
“It's the first major sporting event the venue has hosted since the outbreak of coronavirus last year, so it was nice to see Belmore come to life again,” Mr Brailey said.
“Major sporting events at Belmore Sports Ground provide a vital injection into the local economy each year and a game like this really showcases Belmore's capabilities as a multi-purpose sporting facility. It was a great night for local sport.”
