The NRL draw for season 2025 was released yesterday, and the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs will host the Gold Coast Titans at Belmore Sports Ground in Round 2 on Sunday, 16 March with a 6.15pm kickoff. The Bulldogs NRLW team will also host the Canberra Raiders in Round 8 at Belmore on Saturday, 23 August at 12.45pm.

Back to Belmore President Luke Cevolani said there is a lot to be excited for as the roar of passionate Doggies supporters will hit up Belmore again next year.

“2025 marks the twentieth anniversary of the establishment of Back to Belmore to promote the preservation and restoration of Belmore Sports Ground and the tenth anniversary of the return of NRL premiership games to the historic facility after a 17-year absence. We have a lot to celebrate and be proud of,” Mr Cevolani said.

“It's fantastic for the local economy and our vibrant community because we're showcasing what Belmore has to offer. The NRL and NRLW fixtures in 2025 are expected to bring upwards of 15,000 visitors to town and inject more than a quarter of a million dollars into the local economy. The 2024 games held at Belmore Sports Ground brought a significant economic benefit to the Canterbury-Bankstown district and it goes well beyond the full-time siren.”

Patron Luke Brailey is revelling in the sports spotlight shining on the local precinct as the population of Belmore booms tenfold on match day.

“It shows Belmore has made itself a go-to destination for top sporting fixtures and we are very proud of the pivotal role that Back to Belmore has consistently played over the past twenty years to make it all happen,” Mr Brailey said.

“The NRL games at Belmore Sports Ground are a key contributor to the local economy. We are confident that hosting these events – including the first ever NRLW game at the facility in August – will not only boost our local economy but also take Belmore to the next level in terms of sporting prominence and community engagement.”

The two first-grade matches at Belmore Sports Ground last year drew in over 30,000 people, giving the local economy a mammoth boost and putting the best of the Canterbury-Bankstown region on show.
