The Back to Belmore executive committee welcomes the appointment today of Andrew Hill as Bulldogs CEO. As Chief Executive of the Rugby League World Cup, he has performed brilliantly and we look forward to working closely as ever with Mr Hill in the interests of Belmore Sports Ground and the Canterbury-Bankstown community at large.
Back to Belmore is one of the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs' closest exponents and our relationship has deepened following the return of the Bulldogs to Belmore. We share fundamental values and common interests in promoting the redevelopment of the historic venue as a top-class sporting facility.
As the leading advocate for the preservation and restoration of Belmore Sports Ground since our inception in 2005, Back to Belmore has constantly set the agenda for the advancement of the historic venue as a multi-purpose sporting facility and given weight to the collective voice of the community. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Bulldogs for their continuing leadership in embracing our initiatives to safeguard Belmore Sports Ground for the next generation of aspiring athletes and reaffirm our strong commitment to pursuing the best possible outcomes for the iconic facility and the Canterbury-Bankstown area.
The enduring interests of the Bulldogs and Back to Belmore and the breadth and depth of our association are such that our unique relationship should continue to flourish. We will continue to work together as we have done with Raelene Castle and to a greater extent her predecessor Todd Greenberg to take on the challenges facing Belmore Sports Ground. The Back to Belmore executive committee has great confidence that our collaborative and constructive partnership will continue to be strong as we work towards a common goal.
We sincerely hope that the friendship which has marked the unique relationship between the Bulldogs and Back to Belmore will be maintained and even strengthened by close co-operation and cohesion for the benefit of Belmore Sports Ground and the community. It is the earnest desire of the executive committee that the warmest personal ties will continue to bind our two organisations and we trust that Mr Hill will move swiftly to reaffirm the remarkable bond between the Bulldogs and Back to Belmore and work to open a new framework between the the two organisations. We extend our wholehearted best wishes to the new Bulldogs CEO today and we do so with faith that he will be a transformative leader for the revitalisation of Belmore Sports Ground as a cultural and sporting icon for future generations.
